1. A villa holiday with style at Villa Delphine…
How does this sound? You’re relaxing on the sun deck. You have a bottle of wine cooling in the fridge, and a selection of olives, charcuterie and cheese on the table next to you. The kids, who you’ve been with on the beach all day, are in the pool, tired from the sunshine and all the day’s activities. The sun is slowly starting to set behind the mountains, and the sky has taken on that soft glow; the clouds, the few that you can actually see, are lightly blushed with pink. You’ve been away long enough for that other world – the one at home, the one filled with bedlam and anxieties – to have slipped away to the point where it’s just a dim rumour. You catch your partner’s eye and a smile passes between you. You slowly drift off to sleep…

2. On the beach…
Not to put too fine a point on it, the beaches in Corsica are sensational – and plentiful! It’s true that some of the town beaches (especially Calvi) and the more famous ones in the south east (Palombaggia, I’m looking at you) can become very busy in the summer holidays, it’s generally true that you’ll always find a quiet spot somewhere, and there are literally dozens of secluded beaches, and untouched coves to discover, if you’re feeling adventurous. If you’re with young children, you’re in for a treat, as a good number of the beaches are very gently shelving – meaning they stay shallow a long way out; couple this with beautifully clean water and you’re away.
3. By donkey will travel…
Well this is something a bit different – a holiday in the beautiful interior of Corsica, travelling the old ways on the back of a donkey. This is a trip run with families in mind, you will get to discover Corsica’s heritage, culture, local cuisine and forgotten hamlets. Coupled with your faithful and very friendly donkey who travels with you everyday, to assist with your bags… and the children! A truly wonderful experience, in a beautiful setting, with great accommodation.

4. Step into my Résidence…
Corsica can be an expensive destination – but it needn’t be all yachts and fancy villas in the mountains. Résidences are a brilliant, and more affordable, way to experience Corsica, and they’re perfect for families with children as they’re sociable by their very nature. Résidence Bervily is made up of 6 attractive house and set in spacious grounds around the central focus of the swimming pool – where you’ll inevitably spend a good deal of your time making friends and socialising. But if you’re after some quiet time, you always have the security of your own apartment and the knowledge that Calvi and its restaurants and selection of beaches is just a 10-minute walk away.

5. Let’s get active…
Here’s a question we often get asked: is there enough in Corsica for kids to do? And the answer is always an emphatic YES! You have your villa/hotel/résidence pool: kids often don’t need any more than that. But if they do, there’s always the beach – and Corsica is blessed with brilliant beaches: gradually shelving with cool clear water and fine sand. On top of that, there is an abundance of water sports, including kitesurfing, snorkelling, water skiing and diving. You can go horse riding or donkey trekking. And there is always something for the more adventurous, including canyoning, rock climbing, the ‘via ferrata’ (the Corsican equivalent of Go Ape) and numerous walking tours and hiking trails. Makes us out of breath just thinking about it…
